Railway tunnels

Radio communication between a locomotive and the operation center is crucial for safe and effective railway work. Uninterrupted communication must be provided in railway tunnels too. The issue of railway covering is similar to the issue of metro tunnels covering. All steps are carried out according to the special legislation meant for Railway transportation and approved by the Railway Authority.

 

 

Covering of tunnels with radio signal is carried out with the help of emitting cables placed on the side of tunnels at the window level. Emitting cables protection must be done carefully, taking into consideration high voltage of the tunnel traction wiring. RCD Radiokomunikace prepares turnkey systems of railway tunnels radio covering.
